Sample Band Progress Report

You've finally made it! 5th grade is a very exciting time because it is the year that you can begin learning a band instrument during school! What you have learned on recorder will greatly help in learning a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument.
At Southeast, students are able to choose from the following instruments: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, or percussion (snare drum and bells). Students will meet for one private sectional with their instrument group and one full band session each week. We meet from 11:24-11:54am (Quaker Time) during the school day. Beginning the 3rd quarter, we will have full band everyday!

Private lessons are also encouraged outside school and will greatly improve the quality of our band program. We will begin instrument selection as soon as school begins and get started on your new instrument! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Piatt directly.
